HBR-Radio Full System Implementation
HBR-Radio Data Acquisition
Data are acquired experimentally in an indoor environment (room) using the USRP E312 and two directional antennas. Where one antenna is facing the person of interest to receive the surveillance signal, the other antenna is facing the Wi-Fi access point to capture the reference signal as shown in the Figure. The USRP E312 is connected to the laptop via an ethernet port.

Phased Array Antenna Validation
An experimental setup is implemented in order to roughly estimate the beam directionality of the phased array antenna. The experimental setup consists of a signal generator connected to the phased array antenna to work as a transmitter. The transmitter sends a signal at a direction of by utilizing the phased array antenna. At the receiver, a Network Analyzer connected to an Omni-directional antenna is used.

Channel Scanning Testing
The channel scanning algorithm is aimed to detect the occupied channel by the Wi-Fi access point existing in the room of interest. The router utilized in the prototype hardware supports 4 channels 36, 40, 44, and 48, which operate at the following frequencies (5.18, 5.20,5.220 and 5.24) GHz respectively. Therefore, the test is done based on the available channels
